Accreditation Information

NASBA

NETg, our content provider, is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit. Ajilon University is pleased to offer CPE's to those who qualify through this relationship.

Certified Public Accountants (CPAs) are responsible for enrolling in CPE programs that will enable them to maintain and enhance their professional competence. They are also responsible for meeting the CPE requirement of their state board, applicable government entities, and professional or other organizations.

The courses that have been awarded CPE credits will have a NASBA designation in the accreditation section of the course description in the catalog.

Upon completion of your course (a grade of 80% or higher must be achieved on each post assessment), you may request your CPE credits by replying to your e-mail message containing your completion transcript. You will receive, in four to six weeks, a Continuing Education Certificate. Once you receive your certificate, it is your responsibility to submit it to your state board.

Continuing Education Units (CEUs)

Through NETg's partnership with the University of South Alabama (USA), Ajilon now offers a mechanism for awarding CEUs to participants completing technology-based training courses. The CEU is a nationally acknowledged measure of an individual's participation in an organized non-credit continuing education experience. Any fees associated with obtaining CEUs are not included in your Ajilon University enrollment experience.

Participants wishing to receive CEUs for completing courses on Ajilon University need to submit a signed University of South Alabama CEU Set-up and Recording Form along with your completion transcript from Ajilon University. For CEU's to be awarded, a score of 80% or higher must be achieved on each post assessment unit in a course. CEU's will only be awarded upon satisfactory completion of all units in a course.

The CEU Set-Up and Recording form can be sent to Patricia B. Miles, Department of Conference Activities and Special Courses, University of South Alabama, 2001 Old Bay Front Drive, Mobile, AL 36615. Or, fax to 251-431-6408.

Professional Development Units (Certified PMPs)

NETg is a charter global member and a recognized provider registered with the PMI Registered Educational Provider Program. The comprehensive project management curriculum offered by Ajilon University provides effective preparation for the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. The PMP certification is an internationally recognized level of certification sponsored by the Project Management Institute. The Project Management curriculum was developed in alignment with the Project Management Institute's A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge.

PMPs who complete courses in the Project Management curriculum on Ajilon University may now receive Professional Development Units (PDUs). The PDU is the measuring unit used to quantify approved learning and professional service activities. Each PMP must earn 60 PDUs every three years to remain certified as a PMP.

Certified PMPs may request PDUs by replying to Ajilon University's e-mail containing the completion transcript. There is no charge for this service and the Certificate will be mailed within four to six weeks of your request.

Project Management Professionals report PDUs directly to the PMI records office. PMPs must complete the Professional Development Activities Reporting Form and mail or fax the required information to the PMI/PDP Records office at the University of Oklahoma (College of Continuing Education, 1700 ASP Avenue, Norman OK 73072, Fax 405-325-6925). PMPs must also maintain a personal PDP folder containing supportive documentation to substantiate their PDU claims.
